Chobe National Park, Botswana

This reserve in northeast Botswana is an incredible place to see wildlife—especially elephants—and the best way to do it is aboard a luxury houseboat. These floating hotels traverse about 15 miles of the river, allowing guests to sleep in ultimate comfort and dine on gourmet meals as they go. During the day, you can relax on deck with your camera, watching for elephants along the floodplains. At night, stargaze to a symphony of birdsong. Magical!

Johannesburg, South Africa

The place to add perspective to your Africa trip. We partner with a local guide who has experienced the country’s turbulent history firsthand. Once a beneficiary of Apartheid, he is now closely involved with the local communities and takes our guests to areas where no one else will venture, sharing engaging tales along the way. You’ll also visit the Apartheid Museum, the Constitutional Court, Prison No. 4, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, and more.

Morocco

The gateway to Africa, Morocco lies just eight miles off the coast of Spain, mingling European, African and Middle Eastern traditions and culture. There are so many once-in-a-lifetime experiences here: riding camels in the Sahara Desert, visiting Berber villages in the Atlas Mountains, touring Casablanca’s elaborate Hassan II Mosque. The sprawling Royal Mansour Hotel in Marrakesh is owned by the King of Morocco and fit for royalty, from its lavish spa and gardens to its ornately tiled lobbies and ultra-plush guest rooms.
